Reasonably speaking, fire and water don’t mix. But, at your wedding reception, you can
combine the two elements to create a gorgeous centerpiece and other accents. Whether
you’re having a casual wedding or an
elaborate affair fire and water table accents blend beautifully into the d©cor. You can
be a person who has never done a craft project in your life but you’ll still be able to
easily create a fire and water centerpiece as well as other table decorations that look
fabulous.

Check your local dollar-theme store, discount department store or other retailer who
sells a large selection of inexpensive glass items. Look for clear glass jars, bowls,
candle holders, glasses and similar things. You’ll need two glass objects for each
centerpiece or table accent you make.
The combination of the glass items you choose is important. You’ll be combining fire and
water, and, of course, the two will need to be separated. So, choose a glass object for
holding a candle, like a candle holder, vase or jar. To hold the water, select a bowl or
other glass object. To check that the two glass pieces will work together set one inside
the other. The inside glass piece should be much smaller than the other glass piece.
And, the interior piece should be about the same height – but not taller – than the
outside piece.
To set up the fire bowls and water wedding decoration simply pour candle wax into the smallest
glass container or just set a votive or pillar candle in it – depending upon its size.
Set this candle aside for the moment.
